Calling all Foodies! on Sunday the 29th of April

We have just launched the private beta version of UseTheFood!

If you haven’t already done so, request your beta invite now.

UseTheFood aims to reduce food waste by making it easy to search for cooking recipes by ingredients. By allowing you to submit your own recipes, it aims to build a community of food lovers that together inspire others to waste less food by using up what’s left in their kitchens.

As we’re now in private beta, we invite you to join us for free and submit some of your recipes to make UseTheFood what it’s meant to be. Your recipes will help make our goal of reducing food waste possible. Being in beta, we’re only just starting to grow a database of recipes. Especially in this early stage, the search functionality depends on your recipes!

We heavily rely on your feedback and need your help to develop UseTheFood further, making it bigger and better. You now have the chance to influence how UseTheFood grows and develops.

For the moment, we’ve kept everything as simple as possible, as we want to grow according to how you want us to grow. If you spot any bugs or have ideas for new features, please get in touch or leave us some .

Why join the cause?

On average, every UK household wastes almost a kilo of food and drink every day, costing each one of them almost £500 a year. Not to mention the 20 million tonnes of CO2, equivalent to the emissions of a quarter of all UK cars, that are produced unnecessarily as a result. Food waste has become a huge issue that is still being overlooked.

Join something bigger, get others involved and let’s make an impact together.

We appreciate your time and can’t wait to hear from you.

Thanks a lot,

Your UseTheFood team
